Denbighshire County Council – Dee Valley Picturesque Bus.
Today (Saturday 15 May) Denbighshire County Council began operating a new service called the Dee Valley Picturesque ‘199’. It only operate Saturdays until October and centred on Llangollen does a number of circuits serving such places as the Horseshoe Falls, Valley Crucis Abbey, Horseshoe Pass, Plas Newydd and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

A brand new Mercedes Benz Sprinter / EVG is being used CX21DZV which carries the Denbighshire County Council livery and has a full destination display.
Townlynx, Greenfield, Holywell
Leaving the fleet is former Stagecoach East London Trident LX03OTF. It has been sold to a private individual from the Abergele area and she has indicate that she is going to convert the bus into a mobile home. The story of this has featured in the local press. Apparently the lady has an unusual occupation and caution should be observed before watching the video !! <<LINK>>
Five further Tridents remain in the fleet although LX03OSY is being scrapped. The two other double door examples are being converted to single door with wheelchair provision. LX03OSZ has already been completed and tested and LX03OTG is well underway.
All former Irish Volvo / Wright single deck buses are now withdrawn and will not see any further service. Most of them remain on the premises in various stages of being scrapped.
Pats Coaches, Southsea, Wrexham.
The firm acquired three 70 seater Scania / Irizar coaches that were formerly with Corbels of Edgware. YN54NYC was put into fleet livery (from an interesting pink colour) and was used for a while but it has now been sold to Dales Travel, Kinnerton. Having been in store YN54NYA and NYB have arrived at Southsea. NYA is currently being used and is still in the interesting pink livery. NYB has a blue livery.
Closed school bus services – Arriva.
With effect from last Monday 10th May a number of service that had been operated by Arriva and still appear in their timetables are now being operated by other operators.
Pats Coaches are working a complex route that in the morning covers the 14S (New Broughton to Brymbo), 12S (Brymbo to Wrexham) and 11S (Minera to Wrexham) and in the afternoon covers the 33S (Wrexham to Llay and return), 12S (Wrexham to Brymbo) and 14S (Brymbo to New Broughton).
Unicorn Travel are operating two coaches. One operates the 27S (Wrexham to Mold and reverse in afternoon) with also a 11S run (Wrexham to Minera) in the afternoon. The second coach operates a 3S (Penycae to Wrexham) and 8S (Caia Park) in the morning and a 7S (Caia Park) in the afternoon.
