As reported in this blog on 27th August Lloyds of Machynlleth have purchased three Scania K360IB4 / Irizar I6s which have joined their Rail Replacement fleet. They have replaced three Volvo B12BT /Jonckheere JSV that had been acquired by them in March 2020 having been used mainly by First Northern Ireland running between Dublin and Belfast. They went to Scania in part exchange.
These three Jonckheere JSV's have now been acquired by Pats Coaches, Southsea, Wrexham. All three have lifts and when in Ireland they had seats removed to cater for two wheelchairs. Pats have replaced the seats in KT58FPZ and it now has a seating capacity of 61. FPZ has already seen service with Pats.
KT58FPX may also be upseated. It is seen here not yet in service.
The arrival of KT58FPV has been delayed with a technical problem.
The long term future of these coaches is not yet clear but they will probably be used by Pats in the interim before a final decision is taken.
