Yet another Bus Operator has decided to retire.
Alun drove his last contracted school bus just before Christmas and he is now looking forward to a happy retirement. I wish him all the best and hope he enjoys it as much as I do.
Along with his father Alun started the business just over 39 years ago in 1983 with a 12 seater Ford Transit. At times there were as many as six vehicles in the fleet - but for the last few years this was downsized to two Mercedes Benz Varios which were used by himself and his partner Janet on local school contracts.
His three routes are now being operated by Voel Coaches in Dyserth and they have also acquired YW05VBC (Mercedes Benz / Vario O814D / Plaxton Cheetah - C29F).
His other vehicle YX54GZB (Mercedes Benz Vario O814D / Plaxton Beaver 2 - B33F new January 2005) is for sale - which he would like known has an MoT until Mid September - is in well above average condition and is available for £6,000 ono (+VAT)
