Following the announcement by Arriva that from the 14th January 2024 that they will be making changes to the X51 service from Rhyl - Denbigh - Wrexham such that it will no longer service the village of Llandegla - there had been widespread adverse publicity and anger from the residents of the village.
Following the involvement of Denbighshire County Council (and Transport for Wales) a partial solution had been achieved.
One journey of the Arriva X51 towards Wrexham in the morning and the teatime journey from Wrexham towards Denbigh will call in at Llandegla. It is not clear when this will commence.
Also from February 7th there will be a minibus service running into Llandegla and will travel to and from Ruthin and to and from Five Crosses Minera (on the boundary with Coedpoeth) to connect with the 11 Minera to Wrexham service.
The vehicle is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible but does have room for storing prams, folded wheelchairs and shopping etc.
It will be an 8 seater vehicle Monday to Friday and a 16 seater on a Saturday
