Today was the first day of the Buckley and surrounding area new fflecsi service. This replaces the timetabled LT4 Buckley Town service and the LT8 Broughton Park to Kinnerton and Penyffordd services.
I was able to witness some of the first journeys and clearly there were some teething problems until the drivers and passengers get used to this strange new system.
There are two vehicles working the zone and I did expect one to work the Buckley area and the other to work the Broughton area but at one point both buses ended up at the same location in Buckley.
One surprise was to find that both vehicles were displaying the legals of Pats Coaches Limited and not Wrexham and Prestige Taxis who appeared to have won the contract. It is understood that this is a temporary situation until the formal application by the company Wrexham & Prestige Taxis Limited to the Traffic Commissioners for an operators licence is approved.
