I have previously reported on the introduction of this new fflecsi service that serves the Buckley, Penyffordd, Kinnerton and Broughton area and which replaced the LT4 and LT8 services that served the area The fflecsi service is being operated by the company Wrexham & Prestige Taxis Limited which has now been granted an Operating Licence by the Traffic Commissioner. The previous licence was issued to the owner Mark Anthony Coates.
When the service commenced on 15 August 2022 two minibuses belonging to Flintshire County Council was utilised. Mercedes Benz 516CDI / Minibus Options FP18FFN and Peugeot Boxer 440 / Minibus Options MX18AWJ. This latter vehicle had been on loan to Dennis Hutchinson and for a considerable period during 2021 and 2022 had been off the road with engine problems. This engine problem appears to have re-occurred and the replacement being used on the fflecsi service seen today was a Ford Transit YR69KOD
