Chief Officer for Streetscene & Transportation, Katie Wilby said:

“We understand that the unprecedented and unacceptable withdrawal of services announced on Friday 8 September caused significant concern for many people who rely on the transport services provided by Townlynx.

Officers and headteachers spent most of the day and evening dealing with the fallout and consequences for young people and service users, and the Council acted promptly on the information it received from Townlynx Bus Services at very short notice during the afternoon.  Townlynx has since apologised for the disruption, distress and inconvenience their decision has caused.”
